1. Start the AudioRanger app.
2. Within the main application menu, click on "Upgrade to the Pro version".
3. Select the option "Enter an already bought license key" and then click "Next".
4. Click on the "You can't find your license key" link.
5. Follow the displayed instructions.
6. You'll receive your license key per email.

Yes. According to the license agreement, you can use the App on up to five (5) devices that you own or control, for both personal and commercial purposes. Note, however, that you must not share your license key with other people. We're using an automated monitoring system on our server that will detect and ban shared license keys.

You can purchase the license in the online shop of our authorized reseller MyCommerce.

You'll usually receive your license key per email within just a few minutes after completing the purchase.

In some very rare situations it can take up to 24 hours, for example when some maintenance work is currently being done on our servers.

The orders are processed and fulfilled by our authorized reseller MyCommerce, which is handling the payments on our behalf. Please see the MyCommerce FAQ for further details about the order process.

Just simply download the App and then start the setup wizard.

On Windows:

1. Open the Windows settings and click "Apps & features".
2. Select the AudioRanger app from the list and click the "Uninstall" button.

On macOS:

1. Open the macOS Finder and click "Applications" in the sidebar.
2. Drag the AudioRanger app from the Applications folder to the trash (at the end of the dock).
3. If you also want to fully remove all stored settings, license keys and log files of the app, then additionally do the following:
   • Within macOS Finder, go to your home directory.
   • Go to the subfolder Library, then go to Application Support.
   • Delete the folder com.audioranger.AudioRanger from there.

1. Select the audio files you want to fix in AudioRanger.
2. Click the "Automatic tagger" toolbar button.

Method 1: Using a destination folder (recommended)

1. If you haven't done so far, set up a destination folder within AudioRanger by clicking "Configure destination folders" within the main app menu. This will define where your sorted audio files should be moved (or copied) to, and how they should be organized and renamed.
2. Select the audio files you want to organize/rename in AudioRanger. If possible, make sure to select complete albums. Also, make sure that the existing tag information (artist, album, title, etc.) is already correct at this point. You may want to use the automatic tagger to fix the tags of your audio files.
3. Within the "File" menu, either click "Move to destination folder" or "Copy to destination folder". This will move (or copy), organize, tag and rename your audio files in one single operation, according to the settings of the destination folder.

Method 2: Manual file renaming

1. Select the audio files you want to rename in AudioRanger.
2. Within the "Tools" menu, click "Rename files".
3. Select a rename pattern from the dropdown menu boxes, for example "Artist - Album - Track number - Title" (or whatever rename pattern you prefer).
4. Check the preview to make sure everything is correct. Then, click the "OK" button.

Duplicate audio files are automatically removed (or, more precisely, actually moved to the dedicated duplicates folder) when using the "Move to destination folder" or "Copy to destination folder" feature within the "File" menu. Hence, the duplicate removal process is actually an integrated part of the "Move to destination folder" or "Copy to destination folder" feature.

If you haven't done so far, the app will ask you to set up a destination folder. This will define where your sorted audio files should be moved (or copied) to, and how they should be organized and renamed.

You have multiple different options here:

• Fix your songs by manually searching for the correct album within the online music database.
• Extract tags from file and folder names by using highly configurable name patterns.
• Enter the correct information manually. You can batch-edit the tags of thousands of audio files at once.

Magic Tagger was the predecessor software of AudioRanger. Magic Tagger has been discontinued and isn't actively developed anymore.
